Basic Info BioI earned my doctorate in geology (paleoclimatology, paleolimnology, diatoms) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2006. I am currently a post-doc at Umeå University in Sweden. Previously, I was a post-doc at the University if Western Ontario. I am originally from Chicago, Illinois. I attended Brown University from 1994-1998. I've also lived in the D.C. area. My namesake is my 5-year old boxer, Darwin. I am a TV and indie rock fan (as one can see from my interests). My politics lean sharply left and I enjoy reading political blogs.
